How to tell if your work device (PC or laptop) has been migrated to the new TUS domain
If you are a member of TUS staff, and you are using a work device in TUS, in most cases you should be connected to what is called the TUS Active Directory domain. This is the IT environment that has been set up for TUS to manage users accounts and devices. Your work PC or laptop needs to be moved to this new domain in order to ensure that you can logon correctly to it, access the correct services, and to ensure that the device is secure.
If you need to check to see if you device has been migrated to TUS, or if it is still on the old AIT or LIT domain, you can do so using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Login Screen check
Sign out of or reboot your device. This will force you to login again. When you see the login screen, you should notice that under they password field, there is a “Sign in to:” banner. If this says TUSSTAFF, then your device has already been migrated to TUS and you do not need to take any further action:
Fig.1. The device above has been migrated to TUS, and the Sign into: banner indicates that it is joined to the TUSSTAFF domain. No further action is required unless notified by CSD.
However, if your Login Screen says “Sign in to: LITDOM” or “ Sign in to: STAFFNET”, then your device is still joined to the old LIT or AIT domain, and you should contact the helpdesk as soon as possible to get it migrated to TUS:

Method 2: Check System Properties
If you do not wish to log out or reboot your device, you can check the System Properties in the Settings on your device:
- Click the Windows button on the bottom left of your screen (1), and then click on the Settings (gear wheel) icon (2):
Click on System:
Scroll to the bottom of the menu on the left and click on About:
Check the Full Device Name in the information on the right.
- If your device is on the new TUS domain, your full device name will be <devicename>.tusstaff.ad.tus.ie. Your device has been migrated and you do not need to take any further action unless your are contacted by CSD.
- If your device is still on the old AIT or LIT domain, your full device name will be <devicename>.staffnet.ait.ie or <devicename>.litdom.lit.ie. You should contact the helpdesk as soon as possible to schedule your device for migration.
