Windows Defender Anti-Virus Updates for Personal devices

This article will demonstrate how to manually check for Anti-Virus updates, and Scan for Threats on your device.

Protection Updates.

In the Search Bar, type ‘Virus and Threat Protection’ and hit enter.
Select the ‘Check for Update’ tab.

Scan for Threats.

In the Search Bar, type ‘Windows Security’ and Launch the App.

Select the ‘Virus and Threat Protection’ option.

Select ‘Quick Scan’, and let the update run its course.
