How to create a Service Request Online with Dell
This article demonstrates how to submit a Service Request Online
- Browse to Contact Dell Support
- Identify your device.
- it will prompt you to download Support Assist if it is not already installed, once you have Support Assist installed, it will automatically identify your device. Support Assist will scan for driver updates & optimize the device.
- You can also enter the Service Tag or Serial Number to search.
Once Support Assist is installed, you will get the following;
- From the drop-down list, select the symptom or component corresponding to the issue.
- It will recommend you to use the Online Support Resources first.
- If the issue is still not resolved, you have the following 3 options;
- Depending on which option you choose; you will generally have to submit the following;
- Operating system
- Issue details
- Attachment - log files or screenshots
- Contact information.
